After an eight-year composition process, LORD ESGAROTH (aka Tobias Micko) returns impressively with his band SUFFERING SOULS and his fourth studio album IN SYNERGY OBSCENE.

As if time had not stopped, the nine new tracks follow the previous album SADISTIC GOAT KOMPLEX almost unchanged from the basic principle.

IN SYNERGY OBSCENE sounds powerful, carried by classic instruments and refined with added lead guitars and clean vocal passages, creating a new and interesting SUFFERING SOULS atmosphere. The fourth studio album sounds a bit more mature than its predecessor release.

The mixture of black metal with classical elements and the varied vocals sound very good together, without sounding too cheesy! This gives the listener a very interesting and neatly produced black sound art.

Avec Панихида, Батюшка renaît enfin de ses cendres et, bien que désormais seul (ou plus exactement entouré de deux chanteurs), Христофор accomplit un miracle. Il s'inscrit dans la continuité de Литоургиiа avec un black metal orthodoxe qui nous convie ici à une cérémonie dédiée aux morts. German Black Metal. These guys take you on an occult journey with religious chants and the like. Together with symphonic melodies & the sometimes raw vocals, this album creates atmospheres that are thick with foreboding & doom & gloom. This should appeal to fans of Batushka's Litourgiya for sure! I would say it is even better, at least in a few places... :) I am just going to have to make my way through their discography! No faves & highly recommended!!! bmurator

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
